Connect a chat assistant

Claude

Web and desktop app

Add renou as a custom connector. The button opens Claude with everything filled in; you confirm, then sign in to renou.

In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
Choose Add custom connector.
Name it renou and paste https://renou.ai/mcp as the URL.
Select Connect, sign in to renou, and choose what the connection may do.

The Free plan allows one custom connector.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds renou for the organization first, using the organization settings link. Members then connect their own renou account.

ChatGPT

Web, developer mode

One-click listing coming

Until renou is listed in ChatGPT, connect it as a custom app in developer mode.

Steps

Open ChatGPT on the web and go to Settings.
Turn on Developer mode. Depending on your version, it sits under Apps or under Security.
Create a new app: name it renou, paste https://renou.ai/mcp as the server URL, and choose OAuth sign-in.
Sign in to renou when asked and approve the connection.

Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan and works on the web only.
On some plans, developer-mode apps can only read. Logging touchpoints may need a Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspace.

Other assistants

Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in can use https://renou.ai/mcp. Assistants that run on your computer work today. Apps that sign in from their own website are added after review; if yours says it can't connect yet, email support@renou.ai and tell us which app you use.

Privacy and permissions

The first time an assistant connects, you sign in to renou on renou.ai and see exactly what it asks for.
Read-only by default
Logging touchpoints is a separate checkbox, off unless you turn it on. Assistants can't edit contact details or delete anything.
Small answers, not exports
Your assistant gets one small page of results at a time. For a full copy of your data, use Download My Data in the app under Settings > Privacy & Account Safety.
Your assistant's own terms apply
What the assistant receives is handled under its provider's terms, as our privacy policy explains.

Disconnect anytime

In the renou app, open Settings > AI Connectors, choose the assistant, and tap Disconnect. Access stops right away. You can also remove renou in the assistant's own settings.
